Fiesta Bowl Block Party!!!
Once again, the Fiesta Bowl Committee has asked us to provide manpower during the day to set up the Fiesta Bowl Block Party on New Year’s Eve, Saturday, December 31 in downtown Tempe.
We need 20 band volunteers -- students and parents are welcome. Each participant will earn $7 per hour that is credited toward students’ individual band account. Lunch and snacks are provided.

We have placed in the TOP 10 marching bands at the State Marching Festival and are now off to Championships!
We are amoung the BEST marching bands in the State again this year, and we are performing in the State Championships at Glendale Community College Saturday November 12! We are the only marching band from our district to make it this year, and the only band from our district to place top 10 in every Championships since the event began in 2009. Chaparral is amoungst some tough competition this year. Other bands to qualify are; Basha, Chandler, Hamilton, Mesa, Maryvale, Perry, Ironwood Ridge, Sunrise Mountain, and Deer Valley. Good Luck Firebird BAND!!!
Highest scores were in General Effect where we scored a 92 out of 100! Amazing! A big thanks go out to Mark Richardson for amazing drill design, and Matt Cornwell for wonderful wind parts, and of course to our own Sean Mireau for excellent percussion parts!

Great Job this past Saturday as we placed 1st at the "Summerlin Spectacular" in Las Vegas! We beat the other 3 bands in our division (AA) AND 3 of the 4 bands in the next highest division (AAA)! We also received the High Music Performance and High Visual Performance awards!!!

On Saturday October 1st we competed in the Gilbert Marching Competition.
We competed in Division II (Bands with 65-95 members)
Out of the 9 bands in our division we placed 2nd!
Scoring a 68.75 AND earning an Excellent rating to qualify us for this year's State Marching Festival - November 5th
